purplemaroon’s Fall | Winter 2016 collection is a modern take on femininity. This collection uses unconfined details like raw edges, playful prints and stripes, and an unconventional fabric of paper denim yet it still holds onto urban simplicity.

“I was inspired by her contrast of simplicity and complexity. For me, the piece (Large Indigo Coil, 2014, cotton, indigo 150”x18”) shows control yet is loose at the same time. I loved the contrast she captured and wanted to display that same message in [the Fall | Winter '16] collection,” said Josephine.

Josephine took her inspiration of solid/whole, soft/stiff, and loose/confined to create purplemaroon’s women’s Fall | Winter '16 collection. This collection is a meeting of contrasts.
The raw edges of our Sweater Cardie give an unexpected edge to our updated cardigan shape. It has a new proportion in a longer length and is offered in a luxurious Italian Wool.
In the High Collar Top, the structure of the top is straightforward yet with a playful watercolor print.
The addition of Paper Denim continues to reflect our desire to produce slow fashion using the world’s best fabrics. Our paper denim is 100% organic, a strong,sturdy textile and still machine washable. Josephine's inspiration continues for Fall | Winter '16 through in the use of this softer, loose textile offering femininity in a normally masculine shape.
